Cipro (ciprofloxacin) is a quinolone antibiotic used to treat a wide range of infections caused by bacteria. It is not efficient in cases of viral infections, such as common cold and flu. Do no take this drug with any other medicines or antacids that contain calcium, magnesium or aluminum. Cipro can be taken only 2 hours before or 6 hours after taking the abovementioned drugs.
